Brookings-Smith, Orono Chapel

Located in the heart of the town of Orono is the Brookings-Smith Orono Chapel, at 72 Main Street, which conveys a sense of history and prestige. This building was built in 1851 and named the “Whitney House” by the Orono Historical Society. There is a small intimate chapel that can accommodate 50 people for a small gathering or funeral. Other small side rooms surround the chapel where additional seating can be placed. There is a closed circuit TV system that can broadcast the service in the side room. A TV monitor is located in the main chapel where a personalized Life Tribute DVD program can be viewed. >> Map
