BANGOR – Thomas C. Murphy, 62, died after a long illness on September 16, 2016 at a Bangor hospital. He was born on November 4, 1953 in Holden, MA, the son of John J. and Mary C. (Burnham) Murphy.

Tom graduated from Deering High School, Class of 1972. Following graduation, he attended Berklee College of Music, studying guitar.

In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert. Surviving are his sister, Peggy (Murphy) Sowyrda of Woburn, MA; brother, John Murphy and wife Donna, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private for the family.
